Comprehensive expert services for the circular economy and demolition, from demolition surveys to on-site services, available from Cedcon Oy
Cedcon Oy offers a wide range of expert services in the fields of circular economy and demolition for both industry operators and various stakeholders. The circular economy sector is developing rapidly and constantly creates new challenges. For example, in the demolition sector, increasing expertise is required in technical implementation, waste and environmental management, as well as occupational safety. Comprehensive operating models help build a sustainable future and can lead to significant cost savings.
The company's founder, Janne Salonen, has decades of experience in various positions within the circular economy sector. He holds a degree in mechanical and metal engineering (graduated from Turku in 1991). His work experience includes management positions at WM Ympäristöpalvelut Oy and later at Kuusakoski Oy (1997-2015).
Since 2006, he has first moved into the demolition business and later became the business area manager for heavy and industrial demolition. He has also worked with companies such as Delete Finland Oy, Vaihtolavacom Oy, and Purkucom Oy. His experience in renovation demolition includes, for example, the demolition of the old coffee roastery in Katajanokka and the Kakola prison complex in Turku.
Janne has also served in trusted positions within the industry, as Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Demolition Association (FDA) and as a board member of the European Demolition Association from 2013 to 2017.
Janne is currently studying circular economy at Turku University of Applied Sciences as part of a research group program. Along the way, he has completed courses on topics such as Future Operating Environments, Circular Economy Business, Research and Development Methods, as well as Circwaste and Industrial Symbiosis. His studies are in the thesis phase, focusing on the reuse of building components. This research does not concentrate on the suitability or technical quality requirements of the components but rather on the impact of reuse guidance on demolition contracts from the perspectives of environment, economy, and personnel.
